FAQ:
#1.What is AeU and how is it having the Operations in India?
Asia e University(AeU) is the first Multinational University, set by Asian countries based on the international forum called ACD. As being one of the Countries, India also Recognized this university and hence Asia e University started to offer various academic Programs in India.
On 10th Jan 2009, the official launch of Asia e University in India through its Indian Partner BIDL - under the Chairmanship of Dr.R.Velmurugan-Former Director of Madurai Kamaraj University. That Launch function was presided by Prof. Rajasekaran Pillai (Chairman of DEC - Distance Education Council / Vice Chairman of IGNOU and also the former Chairman of UGC).
Since AeU is Recognized by Govt of India through Ministry of External Affairs (MoEA) , MoEA passed the facts to Ministry of HRD (MHRD) to issue a the Approval for all its Programs to assure the benefits for the students .
And on 20th August 2009, Distance Education Council (after the review by the Joint Committee formed by the Members from UGC&AICTE/NCTE under MHRD ), granted the approval order to Asia e University .
Because of these developments, IGNOU appreciated the features of AeU and Signed a MOU and recently on 19th Jan 2010 signed the MOA with Asia e University for Collaboratively presenting the various academic programs.
#2.Is it recognized by UGC? If not What is the value?
No…there is no need at all.Since Asia e University is being a Multinational University, it is not coming under any specific forum of any country like UGC and also not seeking any Grants from this UGC. But it is Recognized by Govt of India .
Of course it is the first International University in India providing Global education with the approval of Govt of India and hence each and every student of AeU will have the benefits like the student of IGNOU in India. Needless to mention that overseas benefits will be more to the Students of AeU than the Students of IGNOU.
#3.What is the syllabus of the programs and how to get it?
Not applicable to PhD program since it is being 100% research programbased on the Title proposed by the Scholar and accepted by the Guide as well as Co-Guide and Registered by University.
#4.Can a PG holder go for MPhil first and then PhD or directly to PhD?
Both are possible.But it is advisable to have PhD directly to save Time and Energy!
#5.How to Proceed for admission?
The admission process is as follows…
Aspirant may send a Mail to Admission Office (aeu.india@gmail.com) with their Resume along with a request to send the application form

Step I: Scan copy of
#1.Filled application form/Index card with Attested Photographs
&
#2.All original certificates (Original Mark Statements & Certificates starting from 10th/Matric, 12th std, Degree, Master Degree etc) to be sent through e mail as attachment.
Step II:
Filled application form/Index card with Attested Photographs has to be send to the office address with the following enclosures…
#1.Two sets of attested copies of the all original certificates.
#2.Two Passport size & 1 stamp size Photographs in addition to the pasted & attested photographs.
#3.Demand Draft (DD) for Course fees
Note:
All the attestations (both Certificates & Photographs) to be received from the same Gazetted officer.
Fees to be paid only by Demand Draft to be drawn...
in favour of AEU TAMIL NADU payable at CHENNAI .
REGISTRATION:
After the admission process is over,Scholar can send
#1.Either the requisition mail to allot the research Guide if applicant is not having any right persons to act as Guide so far
or
Resume of the identified Guide to empanel with University,if he is already having the Guide for this PhD.
#2.Summary of the Proposed Title of research, which is to be approved by the Guide to register for the PhD program
Then the scholar may start the interaction with respective Guide / University and Digital Library so as to finish the PhD effectively and efficiently.
